GOLF ALCANADA
Robert Trent Jones Junior has designed this beautiful
course of Alcanada which opened on 1st of October 2003.
Typical Trent Jones features like 58 well placed green side
and fairway bunkers, challenging greens with hidden breaks and
difficult but fair tee shots already make this golf course a
must for all experienced golfers travelling to Majorca.
At least as spectacular as the design of the course is the
view upon the bay of Alcudia that the golfer has from nearly
every hole. Club de golf Alcanada is the only course in
Majorca that is right by the sea. The lighthouse on the island
of Alcanada some 150 m into the sea is therefore part of the
logo of the club.
Harmony is the key word: the golf course is embedded in an
environmentaly sensitive area, and the well equipped Pro-shop
in a century old finca; you find pure nature on the course
with a variety of wild life and rare specious of birds,
especially in the early morning hours. All installations
and buildings fit in the scenery like in a painting.
The restaurant with its spectacular view over the golf
course and the bay of Alcudia from its spacious terrace is
rounding up the unique atmosphere.
